Izumi Japanese Restaurant @ Nutana, Saskatoon

I've been soo busy with the new Fall Term and juggling between graduate level classes, labwork and on-going research work is not an easy task. So, here I am after MIA for like 2 months ? Its Thanksgiving day in Canada, so yay, that means holiday !
So, as my sweet roommate bought a good online deal for Izumi Japanese Restaurant at Nutana, Saskatoon, we decided to give it a try. When we arrived, restaurant was quite empty; considering its a weekday and I do think that its location within a neighbourhood is kinda weird. We ordered a Japanese Curry Chicken Bento set , some sushi and their signature rolls, and mixed seafood tempura. Price wise was pretty standard for a japanese restaurant in Saskatoon. Food was pretty good, to be honest even though we found out its prepared by a Chinese instead of a Japanese cook.

Japanese curry rice bento :) Worth it and taste good ! Japanese curry is slightly sweetish and not spicy.
Real crab california roll - nothing special , really :(
Black Dragon roll-Prawn tempura, with cucumber, avocado and salmon. Awesome combination!

Mixed seafood tempura (Half-order) : You will never go wrong with tempuras !
